Also known as jumping seconds the deadbeat seconds complication makes the second hand jump once a second. This motion is similar to a quartz movement 'tick' instead of sweeping like an automatic movement.
DOXA relied on the Swiss manufacturer Chezard to produce their dead beat or jumping seconds movements.
