1987 Tudor Submariner (Ref. 76100) 'Lollipop' Hands

From $6,499

The transitional Submariner reference 76100 was produced for a limited period in the mid to late 1980s. It was manufactured concurrently with the "Snowflake" Submariner, reference 94110.

This Tudor Submariner reference 76100 closely mirrors the classic Rolex Submariner in its overall design, clearly illustrating the strong link between the two brands. This is evident in its Rolex-signed caseback, Rolex Triplock crown, and Rolex Oyster bracelet.

The primary distinctions in this model are its use of an ETA 2824 movement and, naturally, the Tudor shield logo on the dial.

Interestingly, while the ref. 76100 typically features "lollipop" style hour and minute hands, some examples have been noted with the Mercedes handsets more commonly seen on Rolex watches. This change is thought to be due to cracking issues arising from the large luminescent area of the lollipop hands.
